HVGD Operating Costs
Alas, it would be nice if planning Green Drinks events didn't cost anything, but that's just not reality.
Some expenses include the website maintenance; gas money to drive around to check out places and meet with restaurant owners; paying the check-in staff at the events; cost of name tags (which a lot of people DON'T recycle!!); door prizes that don't yet have sponsors; paying the multi-media guy to get the audio files uploaded if a sponsor doesn't cover the whole expense.
It adds up - fast! And it all currently comes out of my own pocket.
There is a suggested donation at the door of $5 to help pay for the above expenses. Unfortunately, only about half the people that attend actually pay which barely covers paying the check-in staff. Truthfully, I'm happy they're there, but it would be nice if they supported putting it together, right?
Well, that's the skinny of it and that's also where you come in. Please contribute what you can. I do want to keep this going monthly, but I also don't want to go in the hole doing it. (Oh, too late... okay, maybe I should have written "I want to recover my start-up costs!")
